Chashu ramen. Pork stock in bacon with braised pork belly, marinated soft boiled egg and scallion. This sounds and tastes like heaven. This is half a portion enough to feel happy and satiated. This had a generous portion of corn, sprouts, long green onions which are typically Japanese in origin
Chashu is actually pork belly that is simmered in garlic, ginger, sake and shoyu. This is originally a Chinese method of readying the pork which evolved into a Japanese favourite.
I haven’t tasted a more satisfying meal in a long time and i dream about this ramen three weeks after i have actually eaten it.
Please eat it for me if you ever go to Fatty Bao!
